Historical Battles of Thebes
The City State of Thebes was the basis for the "Thebain Phalanx Army;" their sudden rise to power crippled the Spartans and freed the peoples of Thebes, but the glory of their victory soon faded. With Greece exhausted from civil war, their Macedonian rivals to the north quickly conquered the fragmented City States under the rule of King Phillip II & Alexander the Great.
